6. Blackjack Attack : Playing the Pro’s way

Author………………..Donald Schlesinger

Published……………1997

Company……………RGE Publishing

For me personally, this is the best blackjack book on the market. Although I haven’t read many of the recent ones dues to no longer being in the game any longer, this book would take some beating.

Schlesinger fills this book with highly accurate data that will transform the game of any blackjack player on the planet including seasoned players. The mention of the “illustrious 18″ and “sweet 16″ will be a useful addition for players who have laboured under having to learn dozens upon dozens of strategy deviations down the years.

Schlesinger did research for Arnold Snyder’s Blackjack Forum some years ago but this book is so good that having wrote a blackjack book myself, there is no way in the world that I could have written a book of this nature.

I can give this book nothing but maximum marks and even 10/10 barely does it justice. Although as a stand alone book then it doesn’t fill every gap. But then again no book in the world can do that. Any complex field whatever it is simply cannot be condensed down into simple rules or a single book……it just isn’t possible.

Some people would say that my book ratings are too favourable but that depends on how you view books. I think that if there is just one good piece of information in any book that can advance your game or understanding then it must merit 5/10 just on that alone.

Blackjack Attack therefore enters into that elite group of books that I give 10/10 to. I may be too kind with my marks for the lower end of this range but even that is debatable but it takes something very special to be awarded maximum marks on my scale I can tell you.

RATING……….. 10/10

See you soon
