No casino book review list could be complete without having more of Standford Wong in it. This book is one of my all time favourite blackjack books. You really need to be an expert card counter to get the advice out of this book and then be able to successfully implement it.
Like it says in the book and I have said this for ages, counting cards is easy……playing blackjack for a living or even as a part time living isn’t. Like it also says on the cover, there is little use in knowing advanced card counting material if you constantly identify yourself as a card counter.
I have seen some card counters who were so bad that they may as well have told the dealer that they were a counter before they even sat down to play. The book is a marvelous addition to any players library who is serious about blackjack. In fact for a serious player then you really have to get this book.
The book envelopes psychology and knowledge of casino procedures which is basically what you need if you want to escape detection. I dare say that many people will not see the value in this book. All I can say to that is that these people cannot be very far down their blackjack education because counting speed, knowing strategy deviations and true count conversions and all of the other essential tools are worthless if you get caught…….and you will get caught.
You will get caught without knowing the stuff that is in this book. Actually having worked in the casino industry for many years then I myself could have written a book like this. I have some of my own material as well but much of it is inside this great book…….if you are serious about blackjack then buy-it.
