Not only is it rare to find a book that has been written by one of the biggest winners in the history of online poker but it is also rare to find such a combination of knowledge that means that you can find advice from the likes of Dusty Schmidt and Jared Tendler in the same book. This book is not a strategy book but it does have very valuable strategic advice in it. But what this book offers is something that no other book does in my opinion and this is to look at poker in a purely business like way. But the strategic advice in the strategy section is deep and subtle and highlights ways to improve your game based on Schmidt’s philosophy.
This philosophy involves the attaining of dead money and even though Schmidt himself does not call it by that name, this is exactly what he is referring to. His teachings can be applied to other forms of poker as well and as a full ring game player then I have certainly taken his advice and used it with great success in that arena also. For me though this book has surpassed all other books in recent poker history. It is expensive but that shouldn’t put you off. The book isn’t thick like for example Supersystem was but the depth of knowledge in the poker advice when used in online poker especially makes it a modern day classic in my opinion.
