There is no doubt that playing fewer poker hands means that technically inferior players simply do not get caught out as often. This is one of the biggest benefits of playing less poker hands. I have always maintained that playing deep stacked isn’t necessarily the best way to go for most people and this is especially the case if you play short-handed. In six max play then you are forced into playing more hands because of the necessity of the situation and the higher blind pressure.
If you like playing poker like a rock then there is really only one avenue open to you to be able to make money. This is in the area of full ring games.

In tournament play then you really have to play really aggressively at some stage and likewise with SNG’s. It also stands to reason that you cannot play like a rock in heads up cash games or six max games either and so there is really only full ring games where you can get away with this kind of play. In fact I am not even convinced that really rock like play has all that much value in full ring anymore and the better players these days prefer a more loose approach and this tends to make more money.
