The world of online poker these days is a forever changing one and any player who has designs on taking it seriously needs to take that into effect. I have searched for the answers lately on why numerous Wall Street traders have transferred to online poker and been very successful. I wanted to know just what skills and abilities these guys were bringing to the table so to speak.
After several months of hard work and study then I think I have pretty much found the answers. It also led me to believe that there were serious flaws in my own self-imposed educational processes when it came to studying and learning poker some years ago. The analogies between trading and online poker are so numerous and too numerous to mention. This is why I am not going to attempt to do so here.

However what I will do in the coming weeks and months is highlight just what these similarities are but to give you food for thought then I will touch briefly on just one of the reasons why stock traders have done well in online poker. This is because both fields are executed electronically and the rapid processing of information that electronic day traders have to do is well served when you play online poker and multi-table. Also the older traders clearly would not survive in today’s modern technical world and so they would have to restock their tool box so to speak. This is in exactly the same way that older live professional poker players would no longer be able to cut it online. For me then online poker is everything, it is where all of the action is and with it most of the liquidity as well.
