The world of blackjack has been transformed by a handful of very intelligent and highly qualified people down the years. So much so that the basic mathematical side to the game has been totally exhausted and there is nothing left to analyse and the game is said to be perfected. One person that did much of the work for that “perfection” was Peter Griffin.

A mathematician of some repute who did more head work in the field of blackjack than probably anyone else! He also went on to write one of the most seminal books in this field in “The Theory of Blackjack”. A book that is somewhat mathematical but highly instructional for anyone who is looking to expand their knowledge of this wonderfully fascinating topic.

A few misconceptions about Peter Griffin exist and one of them was that he was a professional blackjack player, he wasn’t. In fact Peter even commented as a joke in his book how his blackjack winnings were “in the hundreds of dollars”. So Peter was not a professional or even a serious blackjack player but he was a very serious blackjack analyst and expert. Blackjack owes Peter Griffin a debt of thanks because the game would not be what it is today without his input and work and you can be fairly certain of that. The book that he wrote is mathematical in nature but it gets the message across and you will definitely take an awful lot out of this very well written piece of crucial blackjack literature.
