In this section I want to take a look at the different types of software that are on offer with casino gambling games and especially casino blackjack. Here I want to look at the famous Blackjack Count Analyzer by Stanford Wong. The original version was in MS-DOS but it has recently been upgraded for Windows.
What this wonderful piece of software actually does is let you analyse the game of blackjack and test strategies and also run simulations. So you can put most counting systems into the program and see how much profit you make per 100 hands based on various true count entry points.
The updated Professional Blackjack Analyzer also allows players to test betting systems as well so if you are certain in your own mind that the progression system that you are about to try at your local casino is any good or not and whether or not it is the business then PBA will do that for you. It can help you build your own blackjack game from the bottom up and the best part about this software is that it basically points out what is important to beat the game.
This may not be apparent reading books but if you get PBA and find that there are things and concepts that you do not understand or you do not understand the importance of them then that is a good indication that you are not ready to play blackjack for profit in the real world. The edge that even very good counters have is only minimal and so the need for everything to be in place when you play is very important.
There is no room for bad play at the blackjack table, no room for impulsive rash decisions and no room for playing bad games because the house edge combined with you not playing optimally or close to it will wipe out whatever edge you could have obtained. The overwhelming use of this software in my opinion comes from revealing to novice players just how far they need to go with their education although I doubt that this is the programs primary intention.
