The following account is something that I have never witnessed but I have heard about and that is for dealers to cheat the players by cutting good sequences of cards out of play. It is not very difficult to know where certain card clumps are going and using software like Shuffle Trak would allow you to learn how to do this. However you don’t even have to do that as you can simply get say four decks of cards and colour code the high card aces and ten value cards which the player needs to make naturals that pay 3-2 and for successful doubles to see how and where the cards are distributed to after a standard shuffle.
So when these high cards and aces are reduced in number then this is devastating for the player because they never get to see advantageous deep shoe situations. If a dealer knows how to keep high card and low card clumps together and if they then pass the cutting card to a player or players who they know will cut the card in a certain area then it isn’t too difficult to play against the punters in this way.
However the reality of the situation is different because there are many hurdles that dictate why this shouldn’t ever happen. Firstly the dealer must know that a player is counting in the first place and this takes them having specific knowledge. Then they must have the incentive to cheat and after we reach that stage then the dealer needs to learn how to cheat the player. After this then they need to practice it and so these factors indicate that the chances of a dealer cheating you inside a casino at blackjack is very rare indeed.
