I did actually promise you a video of the classic Three Card Monte scam, this has been around since the late 1800′s in various guises and variations.
Out of all of the Three Card Monte videos that I found on YouTube, I really love this one even though the picture is a little hazy. I like this video because it represents someone who has real skill and not any of the cruder versions that I talked about in my last post.
Of course the trick is so well known now as to almost make it obsolete as a scam but the slight of hand card manipulation is a joy to watch as this can certainly be employed in other areas like poker.
The lesson here is very clear, if you cannot track the queen in this video then be very careful of playing live card games with players who you don’t know. Card Mechanics still exist and it needs an experienced eye to spot them.
