Hi,

My name is Carl Sampson and I would like to take this opportunity to say how delighted I am and honoured that bwin have allowed me to have my own casino blog on their site. This is great for me in many ways and it also allows me to talk about my experience within the gaming industry and the world of gambling which I have been in now for twenty years in various capacities.

Many of you may already know me by my pen name of “The Dean”…. if so then you may know how long I have been a poker writer and coach. But not many people are aware that prior to playing online poker for a living, I played professional blackjack and ran my own BJ team in England from 1998-2002.

I also trained up many more players and the world of blackjack will be something that I will talking a lot about over the coming months. Prior to that I was in gaming for nearly nine years as a croupier and a gaming supervisor. So I also have a lot of knowledge of the gaming industry and I still have many contacts in that area.

I am taking this opportunity to introduce myself to you and I hope that you will find my blog varied and very interesting. I have made my living out of blackjack, sports betting and poker for 11 years and this is something that I would like to share with you and my inside knowledge over the coming weeks.

Some of you may be aware that I have a book in print called “Princes Of Darkness :The World of Highstakes Blackjack”…..this book basically told the story of my first BJ team from 1998-2002. I have also written another casino related book in “Killer Roulette” which delves into the murky world of advantage play, biased wheels and other interesting areas.

Keep a look out for me talking about this as there is some very juicy material that I would like to share with you. All in all I will be making about 20 entries a month on this blog so I will be keeping up the continuity. Hopefully I will be making another blog soon on sports betting and this should also be of keen interest especially with regards to my day to day betting activities.

I hope to make my blog one of the most interesting blogs out there and will be mixing a combination of past events, stories, theory, current events and tutorials for your pleasure and satisfaction.
