Drinking and the casino go hand in hand at a lot of the casinos in Las Vegas. That is one of the activities people enjoy imbibing in when they are playing the slots. One Massachusetts man, however, carried it a bit far.  Now, either for better or for worse, he will remember his trip for a lifetime.

James Hackett was visiting Las Vegas to spend some time at a convention that he had to attend. Well, it looks like he should have just stuck to the convention. During his time off and away from the convention, James Hackett decided to go to a Hilton hotel bar.. He did what any normal guy would do and sat down to watch the famous Red Sox game. During the middle of the pastime, Hackett  got a surprise. A man walked up to him and handed him his wallet. The guy told him that he had just dropped it. James Hackett was surprised because he did not remember dropping his wallet. Everything was still in his wallet when he checked it and nothing was removed, so James Hackett didn’t think anything of it. The only thing he did was to call his wife up and tell her about it.

James Hackett also claims that he had only had a couple of vodka martinis. At some point, he claims that he blacked out. He said that he does not remember much apart from the blackout. James Hackett recovered from the blackout and went back home to Massachusetts.

After he was home, he got a bill that totally shocked him and surprised his wife. The bill he received was for a total of $29,512, and it also included a $4,000 bar tab. What was the $29,512 for? It was for services that they couldn’t explain, except to say that it did involve some of the local entertainers: Jani Lee, Paulina, Vanessa, Isabel, Lexi, and Roxanne. He received this bill directly from the Club Paradise Gentlemen’s Club. This is the part that he claims that he doesn’t remember anything about because he had blacked out. He states that he didn’t even have his wallet at the time these services took place. He is now suing them since he claims that he was not there, and that his wallet was stolen. He feels that he doesn’t have to pay anything for it, and that he was more or less robbed.

It will be very interesting to see what goes on in this case and watch what happens as it progresses. The casinos didn’t need another blow like this because they’ve already been struggling so hard in these tough economic times. If the casinos lose this case, it might have a major affect on them. Let’s hope that wherever James Hackett goes, he doesn’t experience anymore black outs, and that he gains control of how much he drinks.

Make sure that whenever you do go out and visit the slots, you’re always keeping tabs on your wallet and purse. This is a very good reminder for all of the casino players out there. Never forget where your wallet is, and when you leave, make sure that you have it at all times, especially when you’re going on a trip to a casino destination.
