MANQUE:
Once again this is another French term which simply means low numbers or in this case 1 to 18. Any bet on “Manque” is a bet on low numbers and any number that arrives 1 to 18 will be a winner.

MARTINGALE:
The most famous of all roulette betting systems which basically involves doubling up. It is also the most dangerous or at least one of the most dangerous due to its ability to be able to escalate bets very rapidly during losing runs.

I have seen several times, system players hit the table maximum doing such things and lost their money. In the long run, the house edge is reached and your return on investment will be negative to the tune of the house edge. The table maximums are also another handicap towards this system working as a high minimum and a low maximum basically reduces the number of double ups.

MONEY PLUNGER:
This is the implement used by dealers to drop money down the drop box. It is usually made of opaque plastic and is often situated to the dealers right on tables in England and sometimes on their left depending on the particular design of the table.

MUCKER:
This is a term unknown in England but it is basically a member of staff who assists the dealer and sorts out losing bets. The Mucker also helps the dealer with game control and security as well. In England this is done by the Inspector although not the chip assisting as most Inspectors in England have two tables to watch at the same time.
