SECTIONS:
The numbers in the wheel are sub-divided into sections. So if a player played a sequence of numbers that were connected in the wheel then they have placed a section bet.

SECURITY:
This tends to be CCTV cameras that look out for any cheating or underhanded play. The gaming inspectors themselves also form security against cheats both inside and outside the casino. When I mean inside, I actually mean the croupiers themselves.

Most of the dealing procedures are done with security in mind so safety measures are in place constantly even when it may not be apparent to outsiders. This does not always mean that cheating cannot happen, just that the opportunities to do so are reduced.

SEPERATORS:
These are the metal dividers that separate one number in the wheel cylinder from another.

SHILL:
These are used and most seen in the USA and are merely dummy players employed by the casino to create action and to keep games going. Action breeds action inside casinos and many players will not play a casino game if they are on their own.

SINGLE ZERO WHEEL:
There are two main types of roulette wheel in operation, one has only one zero while the other has two hence the name.

SIXAINE:
French term for a bet on the six lines that pays 5/1, called six lines in English speaking countries.

SPINNING UP:
This is the act by the dealer of putting the ball in motion around the ball track.

SPLIT:
This is a bet on two adjoining numbers on the layout that pays 17/1. Examples are 5-8 split or 14-17 for instance.
