I always found spin prediction to be an absolutely fascinating subject. The thrill when what you had predicted actually comes true is something else. Of course many people will argue the case that this is an illusion, well after nine years in the gaming industry then please do me the service of knowing what is illusion from what isnt.
I could spend all day relating stories of what me and other like minded croupiers managed to do. Like the time that I aimed at number 17 all because I liked a certain punter who had placed £15 on the number and hit it three times in succession. Or the time when a certain pit boss had angered me so badly that I tripled number 5 with £100 on the nose and another £100 on the split……and I was aiming for that number.
I could relate literaly hundreds of stories like these but dealers CAN control roulette balls and punters have it in them to be able to read the spin. It takes practice but it can be done. But it is important for novices to understand that the criteria that I put in place in the last post must be adhered to at all times until you acquire more experience.
It is better to be very close to the wheel, the croupiers are almost on top of the wheel looking down into it and this is as close as you need to be. Try to get yourself into a situation where you can FEEL the spin. This may seem strange at first and it will be, but it is akin to staring at one of those dotted pictures where the more that you stare at them, the picture emerges……it is similar to that.
But knowing where the ball is going to leave the ball track is a big advantage. This means that you dont have to worry about where the ball is going to be. If at the position where you are, the ball always or more often than not leaves the ball track at a 3′ o clock position then this is crucial information to have.
Now you just have to figure where the rotor numbers will be and if the wheel speed is constant, if it is then you are in business.
